At Sparkling Events Hampshire, you can hire a wide variety of high-quality illuminated letter and number props, as well as other props including:

Our letter and number props are hand-assembled in the UK from powder-coated white gloss rolled steel. Unlike many other letter prop hire companies, our props do not use MDF wood, which is likely to swell over time in damp conditions.

We only use quality products sourced from trusted suppliers to ensure they fit in well with our branding and ethos here at Sparkling Events Hampshire.

Our team can supply letters and numbers of your choice, enabling you to request any word, number or phrase you like – ideal for personal birthday messages or corporate events. Manufacturing bespoke props takes time, so please get in touch with us as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Alternatively, we can supply our heart lightbox item, offering three lines of space to spell out any word, numbers and phrases you want.

The ‘LOVE’ and ‘Love’ letter props are 5ft tall, while our ‘Mr’, ‘Mrs’, heart lightbox, and bespoke letters and number items are all 4ft tall. Our Red Gloss Heart prop stands at 70cm tall.

Our Floral Hoop has a diameter of 8ft whilst our Flower Wall is 8ft x 8ft.

Yes! All our letter, number and lightbox props are electrically lit via a single wall outlet.

The ‘Love’ letter props are available in two lighting options; fibre optics for a subtle yet stunning sparkle effect, or 1.3w warm white LED bulbs with clear carnival-style light caps for an extra touch of Hollywood glitz and glamour.

Our other items feature individually spaced 1.3w warm white LED bulbs, with additional bulb caps available in a variety of colours.

All letter and number props come in a single white base coat, but we can supply bulb caps in the colours of your choice. Colour bulbs can also be sourced at cost price to meet your individual requirements.

All our prop items utilise a single mains output for power, so there’s no need to worry about running out of plug sockets or running out of battery power.

Spare bulbs will provided for each letter, number, heart or lightbox should any of the bulbs fail during your hire period.

We will provide safe instructions to a responsible adult on how to change a bulb on one of our props should it blow during your event.

All items are fully PAT tested and certified each year, ensuring they comply with electrical safety regulations. Our items are also covered by our £1 million public liability insurance.

Full copies of our PAT Testing Certificates and Public Liability Insurance are available on request for venues or private parties.

All items are safe for both indoor and outdoor use, as long as they’re placed in a dry setting. A small power generator can also be supplied for remote outdoor venues such as marquees or woodland areas.

All outdoor mains electrical points must be water resistant to IP67 standards. If you’re unsure, we’ll be happy to check with the venue for you.

Our props simply require a flat floor space with a standard socket close by (5m), and clear level access points for transporting the letters in and out. A small generator can be provided for remote outdoor venues with no mains access. If you’re unsure, we can check with the venue directly to discuss the easiest options available.

Each of our items requires a different amount of floor space in order to be installed safely – we’ll advise you on how much space you’ll need during the ordering process. (Please note, failure to leave the required amount of space for the item may result in the item being positioned elsewhere.)

Please bear in mind that all of our items need to be positioned close to a wall or backdrop. This not only ensures the safety of your guests, but also helps our installers to conceal the necessary power cables more effectively, resulting in a more beautiful display which will look great in all your photos.

Many venues require outside items to be PAT tested and insured before they allow them into the venue. Rest assured, all items are fully PAT certified and covered by our £10 million public liability insurance. Copies of our certification and insurance documents can be sent to the venue by email or post upon request.

The hire period is for the duration of your event. Our hire periods are charged in 24 hour sessions. We will deliver on the morning of your event at a time convenient to the hirer. We will then collect the items in the evening after the event has finished at a time suitable to the hirer. The lighting for your items will be switched on by your venue manager as and when requested.

Items will be transported to and from your venue in a van and installed/removed by our highly trained installation experts.

Unfortunately our items are very heavy and dangerous to move, and as such they can only be moved by our own installation team.

You may, as long as the venue is happy to store the items for you. However, please note that Sparkling Events Hampshire will charge for the whole duration of the hire period, and our props cannot be safely moved by anyone except our own trained installers. For these reasons, we recommend hiring and installing our items on the day of your event.

Bookings can be made over the telephone or via email, however if a booking is made over the telephone an email confirmation will also be required. Once we have agreed the date and the items that you wish to hire, we will then send over an invoice with the total cost of the hire for your event.

We require a non-refundable £50 deposit per item to make a booking. Bookings will only be accepted via email so that we have a paper trail to avoid any problems. The remaining balance will be due no later than 28 days before your event date. 

Payment can be made via bank transfer, cash or cheque. If paying by cheque the items will not be delivered before the cheque has fully cleared, so please allow at least 10 days for this to happen to avoid disappointment on your big day.

No – delivery is fully inclusive within a 20-mile radius of our office in Hedge End. Any delivery over the 20-mile radius will be charged at an agreed price at the time of ordering.

Sparkling Events Hampshire is not VAT registered, so there is no extra VAT to pay!

If you need to cancel your prop hire, we require your cancellation notice no later than 28 days before your event in order to issue a refund of your hire costs. The cancellation MUST be made via email. We are unable to issue refunds on hire costs for any cancellations made during the 28 days leading up to your event.

Please be aware that once a written order request has been made in writing via email and no cancellation has been received, the client is responsible for payment of the deposit and balance invoices in full.

Failure to make contact with Sparkling Events Hampshire after requests for payment of invoices has been made will make the client fully responsible for all amounts due and will also incur additional administration costs if we have to send reminders for failure to pay outstanding invoices.

No – our Terms and Conditions simply state that in the unlikely event any damage or write off is caused to our props by the hirer, any of their guests or any venue staff, the hirer will then be invoiced for repair or replacement after the event has finished.

A Deposit Invoice will be sent out two days after the order has been received. Our clients have two days on receipt on our Deposit Invoice to make the deposit payment. Failure to comply with this will render the booking null and void.

On the day of your event, your props will be brought to your venue in our own unmarked transport and quietly installed by our own in-house installers. Your guest of honour will be none the wiser…

Our prop items are very heavy and MUST NOT be moved by anyone except our own highly trained installers. No guests may be allowed to climb on the props during the hire period.

We also ask that no food or drinks are placed on any of our props for the duration of the hire period.
